The Special General Meeting to be held on 6 July is now a couple of weeks away.
There is one item on the agenda and that is the resolution as circulated in the notice of meeting of 10 June. There will be ample opportunity for every member to speak, either for or against the resolution.
Please note the following:
All members who have paid their subs for the 2025/26 and are therefore financial as at 30 June 2026 will be eligible to vote.
Members unable to attend the meeting can:
Lodge a vote in writing (email will do) with Pauline who is acting Secretary
Nominate a proxy to vote on their behalf at the meeting. A member can instruct the proxy how to vote or have the proxy exercise his/her discretion on how to vote at the meeting. A member must notify Pauline who they have nominated as a proxy to ensure votes are properly counted.
The lodging of a vote in advance or a proxy nomination must be received by Pauline no later thanWednesday 1 July 2026. This is to allow all pre-votes and proxies to be collated and correctly recorded ahead of the meeting.
For the purposes of determining whether a quorum is present at the meeting, members lodging pre-votes and proxy nominations will be counted.
Voting at the meeting will be by show of hands and scrutineers will be appointed. The scrutineers will tally the votes in the meeting and then add any pre-votes received.
For the resolution to pass it requires 75% of the votes cast to be in favour.
The red wine is now all gone - thanks to those who purchased a bit extra. Our profit now looks like it will be close to $2000.
BIRTHING KIT ASSEMBLY DAY
Many thanks to everyone who came on Saturday - we assembled 400 kits in record time! Thanks especially to Mark and Bec for their hospitality once again.
