THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

A huge thank you to Dick and John O who gave up nearly 3 hours of their time to help me tidy up the shed and clean out the caravan ready for inspection on Thursday. And a special thank you to Neil who arrived an hour before us yesterday to clear a pathway in the shed so we could actually access the caravan and went again today to finish cleaning out the freezer. The freezer is now empty and turned off. The contents were not pretty to say the least!

RED WINE

There are lot of cartons of red wine left in the shed and we really need to move them on. For a bargain price of $100 per dozen, please see if you can take another dozen or sell some on to friends and family. Can we please have it all gone by June 15 so I can total up the wine accounts before the end of the financial year.

BIRTHING KIT ASSEMBLY DAY

We will be assembling 200 Birthing Kits at Mark's place on Saturday June 13 - exact time to be confirmed. We need all hands on deck on the day and there is a sign up list available. Please sign up as soon as you know you are available. Obviously partners are most welcome! I need this information ASAP because if we don't get enough helpers I will need to organise the high school to do some for us.

There are also a number of other preparation jobs to be done which save a lot of time during the actual assembly. If you can help out with any of these please let me know:

  • folding plastic sheets
  • sorting gloves, soaps, blades etc
  • cutting string to the right length

Thanks to Mark and Bec for offering to sort some of the items.

PREPARATION FOR THE COMING ROTARY YEAR

Members would be familiar with the recent debate and resolutions taken about the future of our club.

A minority of  members favoured  winding up the club from the 30th June, while the majority voted to take another vote on the subject before the end of this calendar year, in the meantime making a concerted effort to rejuvenate the club.

Membership fees are shortly due for next financial year and our club dues to both Rotary International and District 9510 are based on the number of members as at the 1st July.

Therefore if it is your intention to not renew your membership for the following financial year would you kindly submit a letter/ email to that effect to President Rob well before the 30th June.

As I am in the process of organising a smooth transition of the Treasurer role to Darren, details of potential member numbers as at July 1 would be very helpful.
